Recent Cougar Sightings near the Village

Through the Conservation Officer Service, the Village has received reports of recent cougar sightings near the village.
Reports did not indicate that threatening or aggressive behaviour was displayed.
On the morning on October 17, 2014 a cougar was sighted near the bridge over Boundary Creek behind the BMX track at Village Park, while sightings earlier in the week were reported on Mama Bear’s trail in the Cumberland Community Forest.
